God has given us clear directions to get to Heaven. Since you and I have never been there before, it would be wise to listen to God’s directions instead of making up our own.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” – Proverbs 14:12

Good works, church membership, or baptism might “seem” like the right way to Heaven, but God says that our ways will produce failure. God’s Son, Jesus Christ, clearly states He is the only way. There is ONE way to Heaven – Jesus Christ!

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6

HEAVEN WILL BE YOUR HOME

YOU MUST ACCEPT THAT YOU ARE A SINNER.

Our sins have separated us from God. Before Jesus will become your Savior and give you eternal life in Heaven, you must first know and accept that you are a sinner and in need of Him to save you.

  • “There is none righteous, no, not one.” – Romans 3:10
  • “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
  • “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;” – Isaiah 64:6

YOU MUST ACCEPT THAT AS A SINNER, YOU OWE A PENALTY.

According to God’s Word, we are all sinners, and our sin must be paid for. If we fail to trust Christ in this life, we will die without Him and spend eternity separated from God in a literal lake of fire called Hell.

  • “For the wages of sin is death…” – Romans 6:23
  • “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” – Revelation 20:14,15

YOU MUST ACCEPT THAT JESUS CHRIST PAID YOUR SIN DEBT.

The best news that anyone could ever tell you is that God loves you and that Jesus died for you. All our sins were laid on Him. He paid our sin debt in full. He then overcame the power of death by raising Himself back to life.

  • “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
  • “For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” – 2 Corinthians 5:21

YOU MUST ACCEPT BY FAITH WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID FOR YOU.

You can believe that God loves you. You can even believe that you are a sinner and that sin must be paid for, but if you are not willing to trust God by accepting the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior, you will die without Christ.

  • “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10:13
  • “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” – Romans 10:9

If you will trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, pray this simple prayer:

 

Dear Lord, I know I am a sinner and deserve the penalty of Hell for my sin. I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sin and that You arose from the grave. I trust You alone to forgive my sins, to save my soul from hell, and to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you, Jesus, for your gift of eternal life. Amen
